“The Guard Began to Weep”
Jesus saves! Period! Learn to ask your critics and doubters, “Why would anyone reject the love of God?!!” Make them answer that question. (Read “Oh, so now you’re butt-hurt?!!” It was a raw conversation I had with someone.)
Some time ago, John and I finished Brig ministry and were heading towards my van when I realized I left the box of bibles on the guard desk. We rushed back in and the young guard handed us the box. I casually asked him if he needed a Bible. He said no because his grandmother had given him one. I asked, “Do you read it?” He said no because he’s not that religious. We had only a minute or two, so I briefly shared the gospel — everyone sins, all sins need to be paid for, and there are only two people who can pay for sins – one is you and the other is Jesus. I shared with him that if we pay for our sins, we do it in hell, eternally separated from God. I asked him if he had ever sinned. “Yes. Very much.” I then asked him if he believed that God loved him enough to send His Son to die for him. The guard began to weep. I asked if he believed what I was saying. He said yes. I asked if he wanted to pray and ask Jesus to come and save him, right now. Through tear-filled eyes, he said yes. Right there, on the spot, that young man asked Jesus to save him and he humbly received Christ into his heart. It was beautiful. When we finished praying, John shared with the guard that it was two years ago, to the date and the hour, that he was giving his life to Jesus and how I had led him to Christ also. (I got a little choked up.)Saints, our primary mission from Christ is to go everywhere and proclaim the gospel. In a nutshell, the gospel can be shared in four points. Learn these! Meditate on these! Share these! 1.God loves you… but your sins! 2.Everyone sins. Sins separate you from God. And all sins need to be paid for. Who’s gonna pay for yours? 3.Jesus Christ is the only way to God and eternal life because he took the necessary punishment for your sins. 4.You must confess and believe that Jesus Christ is Savior and Lord, crucified, buried, and resurrected on the third day for the remission of our sins. You can share these four points in twenty seconds or twenty minutes, depending on the situation. If anyone gets offended and asks why you’re sharing the God-stuff, tell ’em, “1) Jesus told me to, and 2) He loves you too.” (Mark 16:15) – Watch Short Video “How to Share the Gospel” – Make a Donation or Subscribe |
2014 – Men and women coming before the Lord and praying over one another. (Read recent newsletter “Our Common Bond Has a Name!” about the sole thing that can bring America back together.) |
2021 – Men and women just finished examining sins and punishments of “Lower Hell” as per Dante’s Inferno. Circles 7-9 contain sins of malice (The Violent, The Fraudulent, and The Traitors). Read “I couldn’t be happy in Sodom and Gomorrah.” |
Agree with us in Prayer: a. For the Brig/Prison: Pray for godly favor and restoration with this outreach. Much opposition and resistance needs to be overcome. Regardless, the overwhelming majority of confinees are attending both outreaches and are hungry for answers, discipling, and mentorship. Pray for all the souls (Leaders, Inmates, Guards, and Families). Pray for an increasing, godly stronghold over the entire prison. Bind up demonic spirits of discord, hate, religion, bitterness, unforgiveness, shame, condemnation, laziness, indifference, procrastination, and pride. And loose a spirit of salvation, discipleship, forgiveness, humility, exposure, healing, deliverance, peace, restoration, unity, and cooperation! b. For the constant rebuilding nature of ministry in Henoko/Schwab. The turnover rate for this area is particularly high due to military deployments and operational tempo. As such, we literally rebuild every six months and gather new members. Pray for the discipling and releasing of more laborers into the harvest here. Pray for our strength, wisdom, and resources as weekly we gather sheep and convert goats. Pray for mature, Qualified Families and Permanent Personnel to co-labor with us in this northern-most, remote area of Okinawa. c. For Zebulun Worship Team. Our lead singer just finished his tour on Okinawa and is heading back to the US. Pray for our team as they adjust and rebuild. Pray for a genuine spirit of praise to be released in our midst. d. For our Believers to walk in increased discernment, wisdom, maturity, power, and works, that they are properly discipled, and that they bear much Kingdom fruit, now! e. Pray against retaliatory, unclean spirits from On-Base and Off-Base. Bind up demonic spirits of CONTROL, DIVISION, ENVY, STRIFE, DIVISION, COMPETITION, FEAR, and LUST. And loose a spirit of unity, peace, love, maturity, discipleship, and faith among Believers. f. For our current schedule (finances, resources, wisdom, strategies, and strength): – Sun: Share/Report Christians In Action ministries – Mon: Radical & Relevant (R&R) @7pm – Wed: Brig Christian Fellowship (BCF) @8pm – Thu: Publish Think On These Things Newsletters – Thu: Publish YouTube Videos (Channel: YahwehHasASon) – Fri: Sexual Integrity & Restoration (SIR) @9am – Sat: Zebulun Christian Discipleship Center (ZCDC) @6pm – See Facebook Live Ministerial Videos – Make a Donation |
Conducting a Foot-Washing/Send Out service for Matthew, our worship leader and “Cheesecake-maker.” (Lol!) His tour on Okinawa is complete and he’s executing orders back to the US, and will be reunited with his family. Matthew co-labored and served faithfully at Zebulun. We’re gonna miss him, dearly. Without hesitation, Sandy is the most loving person I know. It’s been said that “love gives at the expense of self,” and Sandy gives big! Today, people have a warped understanding of love. Question: Does God approve of what you call love? (Read “Don’t call that love!”) |
In closing… Saints, God has given us the privilege of prayer as our primary means of engaging in spiritual warfare. To you prayer warriors out there, Sandy and I thank you so much as your petitions are powerful and move mountains! As full-time missionaries in Japan, the hurdles are exhausting and the resistance increases every week. However, we remain sober-minded, we endure suffering, we do the work of evangelists, and we’re determined to fulfill our ministries (2Tim 4:5). Financial support has been low, but you can help. Please consider partnering with us in these ministries through your monetary donations and support. Financial gifts and contributions can be made online through Christians In Action. Or, you can mail contributions to the address listed below. I declare that you teach truths and duties of the gospel and encourage other believers to do them, that you have the authority to correct when necessary, and let no one disregard what you say!
