Due to the low resolution and blurriness of the image, it's difficult to discern precise details, but it appears to be a person lying face down on a mat on the floor.

“Got milk?”

To an enormous degree, milk goes hand-in-hand with most Christians today. Immature through ignorance, passivity, indifference, laziness, and procrastination, these Believers are infants and still on milk. The problems with infants are vast. They need constant adult supervision, they ask a lot of questions without really being interested in answers, they have extremely short attention spans, they are liabilities, they are powerless, they’re full of opinions instead of truth, and they are frequently on the wrong, ungodly side of moral issues. One way of describing them is godless. (Tough, but true.)

Hebrews 5:11-14 reads, “There is much more we would like to say about this, but it is difficult to explain, especially since you are spiritually dull and don’t seem to listen. (vs.12) You have been believers so long now that you ought to be teaching others. Instead, you need someone to teach you again the basic things about God’s word. You are like babies who need milk and cannot eat solid food. (vs.13) For someone who lives on milk is still an infant and doesn’t know how to do what is right. (vs.14) Solid food is for those who are mature, who through training have the skill to recognize the difference between right and wrong.”

I don’t say this lightly, but the majority of Christians are babies, still on milk. I know this to be true because as I confront them on a daily, they become my greatest critics, challengers, and challenges. Not only do these naysayers ignorantly oppose simple truths of God’s word, they also ignorantly and greatly interfere with momentum and progress.

Sons and Daughters of God are called to maturity, solid food… meat! We’re called to have our senses trained to discern good from evil. The Greek word for discern is dia-krisis. It means to be able to act at a crisis… to have the ability to distinguish, to conclude, to determine, to decide, and to judge. Honestly, can you recognize good from evil? Not based on your feelings or opinions, but what the word of God says about that issue? Be honest with yourself, are you more opinion-based than word-based? I meet Christians all the time who aren’t even sure what the gospel is.

Consequently, I’ve created three charts (see images below) of the most common challenges Christians face today. Categorized into 101, 201, and 301 objections and arguments, the first two lists represent external struggles and confrontations, while the third list represents internal struggles. (FYI: I would submit that the 301 issues are the biggest fights we have. Yikes!)

Take a look at these lists. Grade yourself, honestly. Do you know what the bible says about each of these issues? The degree to which you are unable to use the words of God to counter these issues is the degree to which you are still on milk. Hmmm? How long have you been a Christian? Why are you still on milk? Don’t be that Christian! (Lol! I can hear some of you saying, “Got milk?”)

101 External Clashes: plainly put, these are actually excuses and deflections to the gospel. (Let that sink in.) The best response to each of the questions is, “Who’s gonna pay for your sins?” (Message me if you need clarification.)

fix bayonets - 201201 External Clashes: although increasing in intensity and sensitivity, I assure you the Word of God addresses every one of these topics.

fix bayonets - 301Internal Clashes: I would submit that these are our greatest battles. Fear, insecurities, guilt, shame, secrets, etc., all fester and breed ungodly thought-lives and beliefs. Honestly, who among us isn’t their own worst critic? God’s word has answers for our hearts!
