“God bless America,” not, “Godless America!”

Happy Independence Day! And, America is Good, despite what you’ve heard or been taught. Liberals and progressives (Democrats, mainly) have been steadily indoctrinating and warping the minds of our young people with lies, division, shame, and hate. Today, more than ever, I meet minority middle-schoolers and high-schoolers — especially blacks — that have been taught and believe that America is racist and was built on the backs of slaves. I also meet white middle-schoolers and high-schoolers that are increasingly and literally ashamed and apologetic for being white. It’s all wickedness!

From our Commander-in-Chief on down, liberals and progressives (predominantly Democrats) ignorantly feel the need to apologize for America. They spew and implant their lies, “America is evil! America is racist! America stole the land from the Indians! America was built on the backs of slaves! America is guilty of raping nations of their resources and wealth!” Their ideology would have you ashamed, apologetic, and embarrassed of America, as if there’s not one good thing about America.

One one hand, these same dishonest and primitive-minded people accuse whites and their “white privilege” for the majority of all evil in the US, while on the other hand totally dismissing the fact that whites, predominantly, died freeing slaves, died spreading the gospel, died correcting wrongs, and died building this nation. My warning to those who would perpetuate this wicked message is, “Before you speak and criticize America, you better know two things — 1) Real American history, and 2) The Word of God.” Not prejudiced or close-minded rhetoric rooted in jealousy, pain, envy, coveting, laziness, and entitlement. That’s all flesh.

America is the only country ever established successfully on the principle of man having the freedom to self-govern, which is why the birth of America was referred to as “The Great Experiment.” And, it’s absolutely paramount to have a precise definition of freedom. Freedom is NOT the ability to do whatever you want, whenever you want. Freedom is more clearly defined as the ability to do what is right. And, the word of God is the only measuring stick for determining right and wrong (Isa 45:19; Heb 4:12), not opinions, not philosophies, not the Koran, etc. Again, America is the only country where you were promised equal opportunities, but NOT equal results. The results were up to individual effort.

Today, with our infantile and destructive understanding of freedom, our kids are overwhelmingly misled to believe that they’re entitled to happiness, rather than the pursuit of happiness. These liberals and progressives cry for free healthcare, free college, and free housing while refusing to acknowledge that nothing is free. Someone, somewhere has to pay for it. Presently in the US, roughly 50% of working-age people do not pay taxes, yet almost 50% of our citizens draw welfare. This means that working people have to work more to support the growing welfare roster. Now, don’t misunderstand me. I know that welfare is necessary for those with legitimate need. However, I personally know people — family and friends — on welfare that are simply lazy and choose to abuse the system.

I also know businessmen who’ve caved in and said it’s easier to be on welfare than meet all the burdens of over-regulation and bureaucracy. And, why not? It’s easier to give in than to fight. It’s easier to abuse the present liberal/progressive system than to work. But, it’s what these politicians and elites (Democrats) want — for the people to be dependent upon them, the government, rather than on God. Think about it. What happens to government if people become truly independent and self-reliant? They don’t need government.

There are liberties and ideas unique to America that no other nation can claim or compare. America is exceptional and America is good, but only if Americans are good. The hand of God and the grace of God has sustained us and blessed us, but with our increasing departure from Him and His ways, we’re nose-diving towards destruction.

America needs our help. We need to be praying and declaring 2 Chronicles 7:14 to the masses! “If My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will listen from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”

May it be, “God bless America,” and not, “Godless America!”
