“Did God say, ‘Gay is Okay’?”

The month of June is fast approaching and with it movies, commercials, and propaganda touting diversity, inclusion, appreciation, and acceptance of homosexuality. Do not be deceived! Homosexuality in all forms is unnatural, perverted, and deviant. (I didn’t say that, God did. And, if this gets your shorts in a bunch, take it up with Him.)

So, before you turn me off and delete this newsletter (with your close-minded self), please don’t misunderstand and claim that I’m singling out homosexual sin. For the record, whether heterosexual or homosexual, sexual sin is sin. Plain and simple. And sexual sins are the worst because they, indeed, are binding! Whether you know it or not, ALL SEX JOINS YOU… MARRIES YOU! And, 1) we tend to never get unmarried from these ungodly covenants and patterns, and 2) these ungodly sexual covenants and patterns are destructive. We just don’t realize it soon enough.

The reason I’m highlighting homosexual sin today is because there is an onslaught of misinformation being thrust upon the masses, to include Obama’s Presidential Proclamation in June 2009 that June is now designated as LGBT Pride Month. Wicked!

Today, as unconscionable as it is, Liberals/Progressives continue to pass legislation which protects, endorses, and legalizes sin. (Heard of the Transgender Bathroom issue?) While Hollywood, the mainstream media, artists and musicians, athletes, talk shows, politicians and the President tout and promote sin (homosexuality), God does not. Not once in scripture does God approve of homosexuality, or any sexual sin, for that matter. However, as a matter of Truth, God does warn against homosexuality in both the Old and New Testaments. (Lev 18:22; 1Cor 6:9-10; Rom 1:26-28)

Increasingly, as I attempt to communicate this warning, homosexuals and their supporters (often times Christians) become enraged and offended. (Big deal.) They accuse me of being a hater, a bigot, homophobic, and judgmental. I ask them one simple question. “Who said ‘Gay was okay’?” Where’s your proof — your reference — for claiming that gay is okay? The best answer they can give is “Self” or “Society.” (By society, they mean family, friends, Hollywood, Liberal media, etc.) I then ask them the million-dollar question, “Did God say ‘Gay was okay’?” They stand there stunned and silenced. (You can almost hear crickets chirping.)

The reality is that if I did NOT care, I wouldn’t waste my time or take the risk of getting involved. Love compels me to 1) Warn, and 2) Point to the better way. So, heads up, more misinformation about homosexuality is coming. Here are just a few of their talking points that you need to understand and be prepared to counter.

a. “If two people really love each other…”
Stop! They’re PRESUMING this is love. It is not. It is sin, and simply put, love can never produce sin.  (Newsletter – “Don’t call that love!”)

b. “Discrimination against homosexuals is identical to discrimination against Blacks!”
Wrong! If you’re black, or a minority, you should be outraged and offended whenever you hear this lie! I often ask predominantly black churches, “Are the black and homosexual struggles equivalent?” Sadly, the responses are routinely ignorant and weak. Did you even realize that television networks often show the movie “Roots” during the month of June? Do you know why? Because the message is that the homosexual struggle is equivalent to the black struggle.

Bottom line, the difference between these two struggles is, “Homosexuality is a sin!” However, it is NOT a sin to be black! This is the only point you need to make here.

c. “Who said ‘Gay is Okay’?”
Ask the question and demand an answer! Insist they give you their reference. Then, you give them yours, which should be the Word of God. Do this in love.
(Read Newsletter “Who said you were gay?”)

Ladies and gentlemen, it’s been said, “The only thing necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing.” (Ladies, “men” means “mankind” which means you too.) I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. “If you love people you will share Christ with them. If you love yourself more, you’ll be silent.”

God has empowered and commissioned you! Realize that the world is lost, confused, and in pain. What are you gonna do about it?!! I implore you, Read God’s Word! Know God’s Word! Do God’s Word! And, Share God’s Word!
