“It’s your move!”

Some time ago, I received a prophetic vision. In the vision I saw a universal, cosmic chess game underway. It was literally a battle of Good vs.Evil, and the Church (Christians) were engaged in spiritual warfare against demonic forces. With each move, every earthly realm, region, domain, and principality was being affected, positively or negatively. With each change in the game, direction was being decided for every arena of life on earth – individual, marital, parental, familial, religious, educational, historical, financial, business, judicial, societal, medical, political, entertainment, etc. Moves were being exchanged and the struggle progressed. What I saw next alarmed me. While nearly all of the evil forces were fully engaged in this contest, multitudes of Christians on the godly side were not. They were reluctant and hesitant, and upon closer examination, I saw clearly the various reasons Christians were not engaged in the battle. For starters, a majority of the Christians were too afraid to fight. Another large portion of them were ignorant of how to fight. Many Christians were too bound in their sins to be effective in battle. (They were spiritual POWs.) I saw a large number of Christians who wanted to engage in the fight, but they were too crippled by their wounds – external and internal. I saw so many others simply distracted by their smartphones, social media, TV, and music. Still others were preoccupied with trivial talk, selfies, gossip, and much recreation. I also saw groups of Christians who were genuinely and totally oblivious to the reality of this eternal clash. I then saw an entirely different group of disengaged Christians who were broken down into two groups. Group A folks were were keenly aware of this God ordained life-and-death contest, but they simply didn’t care enough to participate, simply due to indifference and laziness. The Spirit of God called them lukewarm (Rev 3:14-16). Group B was comprised of men and women who consciously and deliberately refused to be involved, but they were worse. These Christians knew 1 Peter 5:8 charged them to “Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.” They also knew Ephesians 6:10-20, where God called Believers to battle and oppose devilish schemes and dark spiritual forces, yet the commands of God were outweighed by their personal philosophies, beliefs, experiences, and allegiance to clubs, organizations, and political parties. This group of people were actually fighting against the will of God. The Spirit of God called them Pharisees. The Spirit reminded me of when Jesus asking Saul, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me? It is hard for you to kick against the goads.” (Ac 26:14) The game continued to unfold. Here’s where I realized that even though many of the godly people were disengaged and not utilizing their right to move their own pieces, their pieces were still being moved. I immediately understood that if godly people did not move their piece in the allotted amount of time, by default the enemy was permitted to move a godly piece wherever they wanted, which was never in the godly people’s best interest. I recalled a quote, “The only thing necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing.” Suddenly, I was startled by a thundering voice, which sounded like it came from heaven. It pleaded and shouted, as if trying to awaken the godly people. “It’s ‘your’ move!!!” I knew immediately what the voice meant. The voice was not stressing the “move.” The voice was emphasizing that the move is “yours.” I woke up and I knew that God was giving me a glimpse of the condition of the Church. Regardless of our different maturity levels, Christians are called by God to exercise rule, reign, and dominion over the earth. Christians have a commandment, commission, and responsibility to be discipled and engage in the spiritual battle. This involves discipling and activating others (families, communities, and governments) in the good fight to push the world towards good. Towards God! The bible says that King David “had served the purpose of God in his own generation” (Ac 13:36). Like King David, we Believers are called to serve God in our generation. If you’re a Christian, you have a ministry (2Cor 5:18; 2Tim 4:5) and a commission (Mk 16:15) from God to engage the world, primarily in prayer, but also in words and in deeds! Stop being afraid! Stop letting those moments pass! The world is groaning in pain, waiting for the children of God to mature and manifest! (Rom 8:19-22) Hold nothing back that would be profitable to people! A young Muslim man in the Brig gave his life to Christ. (Read “I could be stoned to death!”) a. For the Brig/Prison: the Friday classes are paused again due to COVID. Please continue to pray for the Brig Wednesday night bible study of twenty years as it was permanently canceled due to politics and personality conflicts. Also, continue to ask God for all the souls in the Brig — the inmates, the guards, and their families. Bind up spirits of bitterness, unforgiveness, shame, condemnation, and pride. And loose a spirit of salvation, discipleship, forgiveness, exposure, healing, deliverance, peace, and restoration! b. For continued increase at ZCDC (Churchplant) as we are in massive regathering because of the COVID lockdown. There are so many new souls on Camp Schwab, and I feel the sheep are scattered and the goats need to be converted. Schwab has an extreme operational tempo and high turnover rate, so “re-building” is the order of the day. It’s a very unique area, not for every missionary, but it’s what we do. Also, Government opposition and resistance is high. It’s shameful and ungodly. So, pray for mature, Qualified Families and Permanent Personnel to co-labor with us in this northern-most, remote area of Okinawa. c. For Zebulun Worship Team. We need Leaders, Singers, and Musicians. d. For our Believers, that they walk in increased discernment, wisdom, maturity, power, and works, that they are properly discipled, and that they bear much Kingdom fruit! e. Pray against retaliatory, unclean spirits from On-Base and Off-Base. Bind up demonic spirits of control, division, envy, strife, competition, lust, and fear. And loose a spirit of unity, peace, love, maturity, discipleship, and faith among Believers. f. For our current schedule (finances, resources, wisdom, strategies, and strength): |
In closing…
Wife: “I’ll respect him when he’s earned it!” Sound familiar? What if I turned the tables? Husband: “I’ll love her when she’s earned it.” Seems fair. LOL!
