ABC’s of Persecution

A. AND our hope of you is stedfast, knowing, that as ye are partakers of the sufferings, so shall ye be also of the consolation. (2Cor 1:7)

B. BELOVED, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: (1Pe 4:12)

C. CONFIRMING the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God. (Ac 14:22)

D. And they DEPARTED from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name. (Ac 5:41)

E. Ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that shall ENDURE unto the end, the same shall be saved. (Mk 13:13)

F. FEAR none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life. (Rev 2:10)

G. Rejoice, and be exceeding GLAD for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you. (Mt 5:12)

H. Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of HEAVEN. (Mt 5:10)

I. For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. (Rom 8:18)

J. And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and JOINT-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. (Rom 8:17)

K. That I may KNOW him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; (Php 3:10)

L. I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I LIVE yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. (Gal 2:20)

M. MARVEL not, my brethren, if the world hate you. (1Jn 3:13)

N. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in NECESSITIES in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong. (2Cor 12:10)

O. For OUR light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; (2Cor 4:17)

P. But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are PARTAKERS of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy. (1Pe 4:13)

Q. Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are aQQomplished in your brethren that are in the world. (1Pe 5:9)

R. REMEMBER the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; (Jn 15:20)

S. If we SUFFER we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us (2Tim 2:12)

T. THEN shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake. (Mt 24:9)

U. For UNTO you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake; (Php 1:29)

V. Be sober, be VIGILANT because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: (1Pe 5:8)

W. WHEREFORE let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator. (1Pe 4:19)

X. We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perpleXed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; (2Cor 4:8-9)

Y. YEAand all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. (2Tim 3:12)

Z. Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wiZe as serpents, and harmless as doves. (Mt 10:16)
